Forty percent of staff are former Head Start students or parents. Head Start California is the unified voice providing leadership and advocacy for the Head Start community. Parents and guardians have volunteer and employment opportunities through Head Start.
Parents and guardians have the opportunity to make program decisions through Policy Council. Kansas Head Start Association (KHSA) is a private 501(c)(3) organization which serves and represents all 29 Head Start and Early Head Start programs in. Parents and guardians receive support, have access to adult education workshops and can receive referrals to community resources. Children receive free breakfast and lunch daily. LifeWorks’ Head Start offers preschool classrooms for 3- and 4-year-olds that are NYS-licensed daycare centers and led by NYS-certified teachers. Home visitors support parents in achieving the goals they have set for themselves, their children and their family during weekly home visits.įamilies have the opportunity to participate in group activities called PACTS (Parents and Children Together) twice a month. Head Start and Early Head Start programs promote children's development through services that support early learning, health, and family well-being. Oregon Head Start Association provides pre-school education to Oregon children, ages 3-4, that prepares them to succeed in school and beyond through. Head Start education and development services focus on the total child and provide opportunities supporting cognitive, physical, social and emotional growth. The LifeWorks team helps pregnant women, infants and toddlers up to age 5 year-round.
